8-6-26   THOUGHTS

Let's try to get the full sense of this most famous passage.  The sense is about our LIVING TO GOD!  Verse 18 and  Gal 5:4 need need to be seen together...  "You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace."  Our "CHOOSING" is God's gift that allows our love!  Our RIGHT CHOOSING is shown in verse 20!  The choice is not ME, but GOD...  through Christ Jesus our  Lord.  I AM TO LIVE MY LIFE IN THIS CHOICE...  EVERY DAY!  

Gal 2:18-20   "For if I rebuild what I have once destroyed,  I prove  myself to be a transgressor.  19  "For through the Law I died to the Law, so that I might live to God.  20  "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Our Prayer:
Father, help us continually to crucify self, and live for You through Jesus.  May our lives be living and active and powerful as we influence the world about us.  May we be light and salt.
Keep our memory powerful in the one who gave His life for us.  May our living hope see the promised eternal inheritance clearly!   Thank You for loving us as You have Father God.  In the name of our Savior,   Amen.
